BLINDSIDED: Carl Wastie surprises Will Linley with news he's charting

If you’re on TikTok, chances are you know of Will Linley – a 20-year-old Cape Town-born and raised singer, who has clocked more than 5 million views on TikTok and 100 000 views on Instagram Reels.

His viral success online has seen him picked up by some of the big-name labels and management.

Now, after months of teasing on TikTok, his first single is finally out! It’s called ‘Miss Me (When You’re Gone)’.

Upon its release, the Kfm Top 40 bubbled under the hotly anticipated song on the chart and a few days later, Kfm Mornings hosted the musician who hails from Cape Town's Southern Suburbs.

A week later (20 Nov 2021); however, ‘Miss Me (When You’re Gone)' not only entered the number one chart in South Africa - the Kfm Top 40 with Carl Wastie - but was a hotshot new entry, debuting in the Top 10 immediately, charting at no.8. This makes Will Linley the highest-charting South African artist of the week.
